Turkish giants Galatasaray have been crowned champions of the Turkish Süper Lig for a record-extending 26th time after sealing the title with a dramatic 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor. The triumph further cements Galatasaray’s status as the most successful club in Turkish football history.

The Istanbul club secured the championship with one game remaining in the season, finishing beyond the reach of fierce rivals Fenerbahçe. The latest success also marked Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive league title, matching one of the club’s greatest eras between 1996 and 2000.

The title-clinching encounter at RAMS Park turned into a tense affair after Antalyaspor twice threatened to spoil the celebrations. However, Galatasaray responded emphatically in the second half to complete the comeback victory in front of jubilant home supporters.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen played a decisive role in the championship triumph, scoring twice to inspire the comeback and continue his impressive form for the Turkish champions. His performance drew widespread praise from fans and local media as Galatasaray wrapped up another dominant domestic campaign.

An excited Osimhen said after the game: “Antalya pushed us tonight; but we are Galatasaray. We need to overcome such matches. We go out on the field to perform well in such matches. We became champions tonight. We are very happy.”

Manager Okan Buruk once again guided the club to domestic glory after overseeing a season defined by attacking football, consistency, and resilience under pressure. Galatasaray finished the campaign with the league’s best attacking record and one of the strongest defensive performances in the division.

Galatasaray’s latest triumph widens the gap between them and every other club in Türkiye in terms of league titles. Fenerbahçe remain second on the all-time list with 19 championships, while Beşiktaş have won 16 league crowns.
